About Scorch

Scorch is the slow burn of the six. One tank fires at a time, and the whole table watches the shell go - up, across, bent by the wind - and land somewhere that changes everything.

Before the first turn everyone shops at once: a Nuke or two, Rollers that run downhill into whoever is camping the valley, Diggers that tunnel, MIRVs that split at the top of the arc, a Shield or a Parachute for when the ground disappears. Damage and kills pay, and the shop stays open between turns - at a markup.

The landscape is new every match and it never survives the match: every blast carves it, loose dirt falls, and a tank left standing on nothing goes with it.

How it plays

  1. Shop

Everyone starts with money and forty seconds to spend it, before the first shot.

  2. Aim by feel

Dial in the angle and the power, read the wind, and fire. No trajectory line - just your nerve.

  3. Break the ground

Every blast eats the landscape. Loose dirt falls, and so does a tank with nothing under it.

  4. Outlast

Damage and kills pay. The last tank standing takes the match.

What's in it

  • Eighteen items - Missile, Nuke, MIRV, Napalm, Roller, Digger, Shield, Parachute and more
  • A new landscape every match - rolling hills, mountains, canyons
  • Wind that shifts every turn
  • Shells fly off the sides - there are no walls
  • A taunt now and then, and a last word on every death
